Dr. Karimi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He has twenty years of experience in private and hospital-based practices with offices in Beverly Hills and Palos Verdes Peninsula, California.

In 1995, Dr. Karimi completed his undergraduate education in Los Angeles with a bachelor of science in Medical Microbiology and Chemistry. Subsequently, in 1999, he received a Doctorate degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco.

Following graduation, he attended residency training at the University of Southern California and other southern California hospitals where he received extensive training in foot and ankle surgery, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage, trauma, bone lengthening, and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery.

At USC Medical Center, for twenty years Dr. Karimi served as attending staff and was also the past coordinator of that center’s Podiatry clinic. This very busy foot and ankle clinic not only serves a large population of patients with a full spectrum of foot and ankle problems but also is a teaching clinic. LAC/USC Medical Center is southern California’s largest teaching hospital and a level IV trauma center with capabilities for comprehensive care.

Dr. Karimi is also attending staff at El Camino Hospital in Mountain view, Torrance Memorial Medical Center, and the foot and ankle consultant at a number of ambulatory surgery centers in California.

ABFAS is Podiatry’s only Surgical certifying board in the United States.

The American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) was established in 1975 and has over 5,700 members. ABFAS is recognized by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education through the Joint committee on the Recognition of Specialty Boards. The Council on Podiatric Medical Education has been delegated the responsibility to recognize specialty certifying boards in podiatry by the American Podiatric Medical Association.

All ABFAS examinations are developed according to rigorous standards of professional testing. An independent testing expert oversees test development and scoring.
